Charles Dunn, M.D. ‘62

Charles Dunn, M.D. ’62 has received numerous awards and distinctions throughout his medical career, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dade County Medical Association in 2002; membership into the Iron Arrow Society, the highest honor attained at the University of Miami; and membership into Alpha Omega Alpha, the only national honor medical society in the world. He has served as president of the Dade County Medical Association and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians; as delegate of the American Medical Association; and as chief of staff at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, Florida. Dunn is a lifelong rail passenger advocate. He serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Railroad Passengers and is president of the Miami chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. The father of three currently has an active solo practice in family medicine in Miami.
