Julian Haber, M.D. ‘61

Julian Haber, M.D. ’61 trained in pediatrics at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He has lectured on child development and behavioral issues for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Texas Pediatric Society, Learning Disabilities Association of Texas, Learning Disabilities Association of America International and many other medical organizations. While serving on the AAP Committee on Disabilities, he testified before the US Senate Working Committee on Education on behalf of the academy and answered questions on what ADHD is and whether the disorder should be included in federal law. Haber’s answers served as the academy’s definition of ADHD from 1990 until 1996. Haber currently serves as developmental behavioral pediatrician for Cook Children’s Medical Center at the Child Study Center in Fort Worth. He is adjunct professor in the Department of Communications Disorders and Science at Texas Christian University. Haber is the author of ADHD: The Great Misdiagnosis. He has been extensively published in professional and general publications and has published numerous works of poetry.
