Richard Kaplan, M.D. ‘70

Richard S. Kaplan, M.D. ’70 is chief of the clinical investigations branch at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). He is program director for the NCI’s national program of cooperative group clinical trials of cancer treatments and brain tumor consortia and coordinates NCI funded or sponsored treatment trials in central nervous system,genitourinary sytem and gastrointestinal malignancies. Kaplan serves on the faculty and has attending responsibilities at the NCI Center for Cancer Research, the University of Maryland Cancer Center, and the NCI/NINDS/Johns Hopkins Medical Center/National Children’s Medical Center combined neuro-oncology fellowship program.
