James Reed, M.D. ‘68

James C. Reed, M.D. ’68 is a professor of radiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Over the course of almost 20 years, Reed has lectured on radiology at the University of North Carolina, Georgetown, Duke, Wake Forest and the University of Kentucky. He is the author of the textbook Chest Radiology: Plain Film Patterns and Differential Diagnoses; has contributed chapters in several medical books; has served on the editorial boards of various medical publications; and is currently a reviewer for Investigative Radiology and the American Journal of Roentgenology. Reed has delivered more than 140 presentations on radiology throughout the US and Mexico. Among the honors and awards he has received are the James L. Quinn III, MD Award for Teaching Excellence from Wake Forest University, and the Joint Service Commendation Medal from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Reed is a fellow of the American College of Radiology.
