Lori Laffel, M.D., M.P.H. ‘80

Chief of the Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Section at Joslin Diabetes Center, received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and her Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Laffel serves as a Senior Investigator in Genetics and Epidemiology at Joslin, where her research focuses on preventing the complications of type 1 diabetes. She is also a professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Laffel is actively involved with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and was the recipient of ADA’s 2015 Outstanding Physician Clinician Award.
